Toronto Summit 2022
The Landscape Summit - Bridging Scales and Disciplines - was held in Toronto Canada, to bring together a diverse professional community with the aim to discuss how novel collaborations and an ecological approach to city-building can lead to a more holistic approach. Using Toronto as a testing ground, a diverse group of participants discussed their work at the intersection of ecology, design, policy and advocacy to actively engage in the future of city-building in the context of climate change.
Chile Summit 2018
In partnership with the Universidad del Desarrollo, the ILC held the inaugural summit among the groups founding members, local and international collaborators in Santiago Chile in 2018. The interdisciplinary group focused on the question of how landscape could be used as a medium to frame the urban, agricultural and natural landscapes exposed to environmental forces between the Andes Mountains and the Chilean coast. The results of these discussions are captured in the publication “From the South: Global Perspectives on Landscape and territory”.
