Aliza Sovani is an interdisciplinary Landscape Architect, Architectural Designer and Urban Designer with over 5 years of professional design experience across Canada and internationally in Spain, Nigeria and Mozambique. Aliza holds a Bachelors of Architecture from Carleton University and Istanbul Technical University. She is also certified in Permaculture Design (Conscious Design Collective), LEED (GBCI), and Cultural Heritage Conservation (IAPH). In 2015, Aliza obtained her Masters in Landscape Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design where she partook in a research internship with the Instituto Andaluz del Patrimonio Historico (IAPH) in Seville, Spain and the Patronata de la Alhambra in Granada, Spain. At present Aliza is the Director of Professional Services with Strathmore Integrated Grounds Management in Montreal, Canada where she is leading the development of a consulting division to assist architectural designers, real estate developers, real estate investment trusts and facilities management organizations in integrating landscape maintenance long-term timescale thinking into the development stage as well as with adapting to the increased landscape investment in response to shifting urban development realities.
